Job Overview:
The Boat Division Personal Property Custodian Level III is responsible for the accountability, management, inventory, and lifecycle control of government property assigned to Boat Division. This position manages capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and compliance with applicable property accountability requirements. The incumbent supports mission readiness through inventory management, procurement support, and asset accountability.
Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Process requests for the issue, turn-in, gain, transfer, and loss of capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables assigned to Boat Division.
  • Maintain accurate property accountability and inventory records in SWALIS, DPAS, and other authorized systems.
  • Conduct monthly, bi-annual, and annual inventories of gear managed in SWALIS/DPAS.
  • Investigate missing, lost, stolen, or damaged property and process all required supporting paperwork.
  • Generate and submit weekly and monthly reports to Command Leadership.
  • Obtain vendor quotes and submit purchase requests for operational parts and supplies.
  • Maintain documentation supporting inspections, audits, and property accountability reviews.
  • Operate forklifts, government vehicles, and Civil Engineer Support Equipment (CESE), as authorized, in support of official duties.
  • Perform related logistics and property accountability duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements/Education:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of inventory management experience within Naval Special Warfare (NSW).
  • Experience using SWALIS, DPAS, or comparable government property accountability systems.
  • Maintain a forklift license for equipment with a capacity of up to 10,000 pounds.
  • Must meet requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles and CESE for use in official duties.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience supporting other Special Operations units.
  • Familiarity with Navy supply, logistics, procurement, and property accountability processes.
  • Experience obtaining vendor quotations and preparing government purchase requests.
  • Experience supporting government property inspections and audits.
