Description
Position Overview: The Boat Club Manager is responsible for the overall management, growth, and daily operation of the marina's boat club program. This role ensures exceptional member experiences, maintains fleet readiness and safety standards, oversees staff and scheduling, drives membership growth and retention, and serves as the primary point of contact for club members. The Boat Club Manager works closely with marina operations, maintenance, dock staff, and sales teams to deliver a seamless boating experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all boat club members.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure member satisfaction in accordance with TPG Marinas policies and procedures.
  • Manage member onboarding, orientations, and boating proficiency programs.
  • Resolve member concerns, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a welcoming and engaging club culture through events, communications, and member outreach.
  • Oversee daily reservation and scheduling systems.
  • Manage vessel availability and maximize fleet utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with all marina, company, local, state, and federal boating regulations.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures, safety protocols, and service standards.
  • Maintain accurate records related to vessel usage, incidents, maintenance, and member activity.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate dock staff, instructors, and boat club personnel.
  • Create work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and customer service excellence.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Support membership sales initiatives and growth objectives.
  • Conduct tours, presentations, and prospect consultations.
  • Track membership metrics including retention, utilization, and satisfaction.
  • Develop strategies to increase membership engagement and renewal rates.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns and events.
  • Assist in developing and managing annual operating budgets.
  • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Track revenue, membership performance, and key business metrics.
  • Prepare reports on operational and financial performance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout all club operations.
  • Ensure adherence to boating safety standards and marina policies.
  • Investigate incidents and maintain required documentation.
  • Conduct safety training and emergency preparedness exercises.

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • 3-5 years of management experience. Hospitality, Marine Operations or related field preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Evening, weekend and holiday availability required.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawling
  • General boating knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas. Comfortability with ladders and confined spaces is required. Ability to work in the elements regularly.
