Join Sentara Health s interdisciplinary Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry team, providing expert psychiatric care to medically complex and emergent patients across Sentara s facilities. You ll work closely with ED, medical, and surgical teams, supported by licensed therapists, behavioral health navigators, and a systemwide psychiatric response network.

Practice Highlights

  • Primary assignment at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital
  • Schedule: 7 on/ 7 off (7a-7p)
  • Daily co-management of ED behavioral health patients
  • Inpatient consults on behavioral, medical, and surgical units
  • Virtual consult support to lower-volume facilities
  • No inpatient psych admissions (handled by dedicated inpatient psychiatrists)
  • Strong interdisciplinary support: APPs, therapists, navigators, case managers
