Salary Range:ย $51,000 - $53,000

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive and handle emergency telephone calls from governmental and public safety agencies, Resource Protection personnel, BNSF employees and the general public.ย  Perform a primary contact function and serve as an information source for Resource Protection as well as other BNSF departments.

Provide pertinent contact services for BNSF customers. Coordinate Response to emergencies.

Monitor physical access to the Network Operations Center and other facilities at corporate headquarters. Monitor various environmental and fire alarm systems.

Provide accurate, detailed reports and testimony when required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SHIFTS/HOURS: Operations are 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. 12-hour shifts (3 on and 3 off).ย  Hours: 6a-6p and 6p-6a with rotating shifts every 3 months.ย  Also, subject to call.ย  ย 

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have ability to obtain valid driver's license
  • Must have successfully completed theย Basic Telecommunicator Proficiency license through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement withinย the firstย year of employment
  • Must have a basic working knowledge of computers and computer programs
  • Must be physically and psychologically fit, able to successfully pass any required company evaluations, pass an extensive background investigation and any other state commissioning requirements
  • Must have a broad knowledge of criminal law and procedures
  • Must be able to meet any government or Company training and retention standards
  • Must be willing and able to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on and 3 days off).ย 

PREFERRED QUAILIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree
  • Minimum of three years full-timeย experience at aย city, county, state, federal or railroad law enforcement agency Telecommunications 911/Emergency dispatch call center is strongly preferred
  • Advanced Telecommunicator license
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish
