Responsibilities Include
- Collaborate with Service Advisors and/of Lead Technician to review Repair Order, understand vehicle concerns and properly trouble-shoot and diagnose service or repair needed.
- Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain appropriate parts.
- Perform basic computerized including programming and coding.
- Perform parts replacement of trim items inside the vehicle without damage.
- Have proper time management skills for warranty documentation/payment.
- Ability to replace commonly failed engine parts (mounts, gaskets etc.).
- Be certified for warranty repairs.
- Accurately document all repairs and/or testing on Repair Order.
- Communicate immediately with Service Advisor if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not required or if repairs cannot be completed within agreed upon time.
- Maintain clean work area and adhere to safety requirements at all times.
- Maintain on-going training and standards education as required by Ferman and the manufacturer for certifications.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- ASE Certification(s) a plus.
- Ferman will train and pay for ASE Certification(s) required.
- Must supply own tools for general maintenance and repair work.
- Electrical vehicle experience a plus.
- Diesel vehicle experience a plus.
- Ability to work weekends a plus.
- Able to work productively in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to multi-task and follow complex instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bi-lingual with proficiency in both English and Spanish a plus.
- Excellent technical and mechanical skills required.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks.
- Must have a valid US government issued Driver's License, safe driving record and eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.
