    Description

    MARKETING DIRECTOR

    THE OPPORTUNITY

It's time to shift gears. Bill Jacobs Motorsport - one of the Midwest's most respected luxury automotive groups - is looking for an accomplished Marketing Director to help drive the next chapter of our growth.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership role. You'll own the entire marketing function across seven brands and multiple locations in the competitive west-suburban market - shaping brand positioning, directing a talented team, and connecting data-driven strategy to real sales outcomes across BMW, MINI, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Current Automotive, and Ambassador Auto Reconditioning.

If you're a strategic marketer who thrives at the intersection of brand, performance, and technology - and you want to do it in an organization that genuinely values your contribution - we want to hear from you.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow the marketing team. Set priorities, manage workload distribution, and build a department culture of accountability and excellence.
    • Multi-Brand Strategy & Execution: Partner with executive leadership and General Managers monthly to develop and execute marketing strategies across all channels - digital, direct, social, and traditional - aligned with brand-specific sales objectives.
    • Performance Analytics & Attribution: Own the numbers. Use CRM lead source reports, Google Analytics (VDPs), and sales data to measure channel effectiveness, calculate cost per lead and cost per sold unit, track lead-to-appointment conversion rates, and optimize return on ad spend across all brands.
    • AI & Marketing Technology: Leverage AI-assisted tools for content creation, campaign automation, and lead nurturing. Evaluate emerging marketing technology and make adoption recommendations to leadership. Ensure AI-generated content meets OEM brand guidelines and co-op eligibility requirements - and apply our AI Use Policy to all marketing workflows.
    • Digital Marketing & SEO: Oversee all brand websites - functionality, inventory publishing, OEM CI compliance via Shift Digital, and organic growth through ongoing SEO content (model pages, Search Console optimization, community pages). Monitor Core Web Vitals and produce monthly SEO performance reporting.
    • Budget & Vendor Management: Prepare and manage monthly marketing budgets. Negotiate and manage vendor contracts. Hold partners accountable to deliverables and conduct formal annual vendor reviews. Reconcile co-op accruals monthly to $0 variance across all OEM programs.
    • EV & Emerging Product Marketing: Build consumer education content and conquest campaigns for our growing EV and electrified lineup - BMW i-series, MINI Electric, Jaguar's all-electric transition, Land Rover PHEV, VW ID. series, and Current Automotive's pre-owned EV inventory.
    • Influencer & Content Creator Partnerships: Identify and manage partnerships with automotive influencers aligned to our luxury and lifestyle audiences. Ensure FTC compliance and measure campaign ROI.
    • Social Media & Online Listings: Maintain a content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Google Business Profile. Manage listing accuracy and optimization across all locations and brands.
    • Service Retention Marketing: Collaborate with Service Managers to build campaigns that bring customers back. Manage direct mail and email programs through Epsilon (JLR, BMW/MINI) and VW. Support video MPI program adoption with customer-facing content and track service retention benchmarks per store.
    • Events & Community Engagement: Plan and execute new vehicle launches, community sponsorships, and fundraising events that reinforce our brand in the Naperville/Hinsdale market.
    • Annual Planning: Develop a 12-month marketing calendar aligned with OEM programs, product launches, and retention initiatives. Present to executive leadership and manage execution throughout the year.

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK HERE

At Bill Jacobs Motorsport, we love what we do - and it shows. You'll work alongside dedicated, talented colleagues in an environment that values your perspective, supports your development, and invests in you as a person - not just an employee.

We've built a culture rooted in our RISE values: Respect, Integrity, Social Responsibility, and Excellence. These aren't words on a wall - they shape how we lead, collaborate, and serve our customers and community every day.

    WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

    • Competitive Salary: $110,000 to $150,000; Commensurate with experience.
    • Health Insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois - PPO and HMO plans.
    • Dental, Vision & Life Insurance: Generous coverage plus supplemental options including pet insurance, identity theft protection, and pre-paid legal insurance.
    • 401(k) with Company Contribution: We invest in your future.
    • Generous PTO: Because balance matters.
    • Employee Discounts: On vehicle purchases, parts, and service.
    • Wellness Programs: For you and your family members.
    • Free On-Site Health Coaching: Personalized support from a certified health coach - nutrition, fitness, stress management, and lifestyle guidance.
    • On-Site Physician Assistant: Convenient access to preventive health guidance and minor medical consultations during the workday - no appointment needed.
    • Tuition Reimbursement: Furthering your education? We'll help fund it.
    • Career Growth: Real opportunity to advance with a growing, successful luxury dealer group.
