About the Role:

The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings across Canada. This role requires a thorough understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents to ensure accurate and efficient work. The successful candidate will manage routine maintenance tasks as well as complex installations involving stainless steel and other materials, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Additionally, the Plumber will document work performed through routine reports and correspondence, maintaining clear communication with clients and team members. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in ensuring the functionality and safety of water supply and waste disposal systems, contributing to the overall infrastructure and well-being of the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship or vocational training program.
• Valid plumbing license or certification as required by the province of employment.
• Proven experience working with plumbing systems, including installation and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with stainless steel plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with carpentry and construction techniques.
• Strong written communication skills for preparing reports and correspondence.
• Additional certifications in safety or specialized plumbing systems.
• Experience using advanced power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with local codes and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and operating and maintenance instructions to plan and execute plumbing tasks accurately.
• Use power tools and carpentry skills to modify structures and install plumbing components as needed.
• Adhere strictly to safety rules and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Write routine reports and correspondence to document work progress, issues encountered, and materials used.
• Collaborate with other construction and maintenance professionals to coordinate plumbing work within larger projects.
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify problems and recommend appropriate repairs or upgrades.
