Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to add to our growing team in West Michigan. This individual will be responsible for industrial electrical work involving the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This position requires strong technical expertise, blueprint reading capabilities, leadership of apprentices, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical work in industrial and commercial settings, including lighting installation, wiring, and equipment hookups.
  • Install, bend, and run conduit for new and existing electrical systems, ensuring neat and code-compliant work.
  • Pull wire and cable for power distribution, control circuits, and lighting systems in large industrial facilities.
  • Install and wire switches, switchgear, panels, and other electrical components according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings to plan and execute installations and repairs.
  • Conduct industrial electrical troubleshooting to diagnose issues with equipment, panels, and wiring, and perform effective repairs.
  • Participate in installation and construction work for facility expansions and new buildings, including bringing in and wiring new equipment.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • State of Michigan Master or Journeyman Electrician License.
  • Electrical installation and/or service experience with commercial and industrial settings.
  • Proficiency in conduit work, including bending, running, and installing conduit for various applications.
  • Strong skills in pulling wire and installing cable for power, control, and lighting circuits.
  • Ability to install and wire switches, switchgear, and electrical panels in industrial settings.
  • Experience with blueprint reading and interpretation of electrical schematics and construction drawings.
  • Demonstrated industrial troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and repairing electrical issues in manufacturing facilities.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude to support equipment installation, relocation, and replacement.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical installation, repair, and maintenance in construction and industrial environments.
  • Ability to work safely in large industrial facilities, following electrical and general safety standards.
  • Capability to travel for work as needed during the year.
