## Overview

Fellowship-Trained Interventional Physiatrist

Lexington, KY

Bluegrass Orthopaedics (BGO) is Kentucky’s leading provider of expert musculoskeletal care which serves the needs of its patients through a team of highly trained sub-specialists who are committed to the independent practice of medicine. The practice is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified, or board-eligible Physiatrist/PM&R Physician to join their premier private practice. Centered in Lexington, Kentucky, BGO has 12 sub-specialty physicians, 16 mid-level providers, 5 main office locations, 2 satellites, in-office X-Ray and MRI, outpatient surgery center, and 5 rehabilitation suites.

BGO provides care to patients throughout the Bluegrass and Southern Kentucky Region. We provide care for an immediate drawing area of approximately 630,000+ in the surrounding counties and an additional 500,000+ in our satellite catchment areas.

## Practice Info

Our spine center, located in our Hamburg office, is comprised of (2) physicians, (3) mid-level providers, as well as an in-office X-Ray and a 1.5T MRI. We have an RFA machine, as well as (2) injection suites, 2 C-Arm’s, and a table. As an essential part of our spine and interventional service line, our ancillary offerings include rehabilitation for the complete care of the patient. The rehabilitation department includes (5) conveniently located satellite therapy offices.

## Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Valid board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
  • Current state medical license and in good standing
  • Proven experience as an Interventional Physiatrist
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in the field of physiatry
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities
