Job Description
What You Will Do as a Front Desk Supervisor:
The Front Desk Supervisor directly oversees the daily operations of the Front Desk team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with company policies and applicable laws. This role is responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training new team members, as well as planning, assigning, and directing their work. The supervisor also conducts performance evaluations, provides coaching and recognition, and administers corrective action when needed. Additionally, this position handles guest and team member concerns, addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly to maintain a high level of service and operational excellence. You will demonstrate Westgate's core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members.
  • Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests
  • Transmits and receives telephone messages
  • Answers inquiries about hotel services; registration of guests
  • Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts
  • Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests
  • Makes and confirms reservations
  • Prepares daily reports (credit limit, cash)
  • Reviews daily arrivals and departures
  • Coordinates with housekeeping when VIP Guests arrive
  • Training all new Front Desk personnel
  • Sets up Front Desk meetings
  • Makes Front Desk Schedule

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. What You Will Bring:
  • One or more years of Front Office leadership experience (supervisory or management)
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day
  • Must be able to work AM, PM, and overnight shift
