Job description

Blue Sky Countertops is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to create and prepare digital countertop layouts for fabrication and installation. This position is ideal for someone with foundational CAD knowledge who is eager to learn and utilize industry-specific countertop software and technology.
The CAD Technician works closely with project managers, templaters, production staff, and customers to ensure accurate layouts, seam placement, fabrication details, and installation drawings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create countertop layouts using industry-specific CAD and stone fabrication software.
  • Review digital field measurements and laser template files.
  • Produce fabrication drawings, shop packets, and installation documentation.
  • Determine seam placement and fabrication requirements according to company standards.
  • Verify dimensions, sink locations, edge profiles, and material specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers and production teams regarding layout revisions and project details.
  • Make layout modifications based on customer, builder, or designer feedback.
  • Maintain project records and digital files within company systems.
