Purpose
The Material Packer supports production by monitoring PET output, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring equipment and waste receptacles are clean.

The Material Packer operates with plant equipment, including forklifts to pack materials like PET and other products. Record bag weights, de-bag PET flake and Una-Dyn Pellet, remove trash, and use a bag baling machine to bale empty bags.
Essential Functions
- Monitor PET output in accordance with production goals.
- Keep equipment and floor waste receptacles empty and clean as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Load and unload trucks as directed.
- Assist with physical inventory.
- Track and record material movements using authorized production reports.
- Work with Quality department to maintain acceptable quality of product.
- Follow all procedures, processes, and safety requirements.
- Assist other workers with specific tasks as requested.
- General housekeeping of all work areas.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
1. Education:
a. High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
2. Experience:
a. 1-2 years manufacturing experience.
b. 1-2 years sit-down forklift experience.
3. Licences / Certifications:
a. N/A
4. Language:
a. Proficiency in English required
b. Bi-Lingual - Spanish is a plus

Work Environment / Conditions
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
