Purpose The Material Packer supports production by monitoring PET output, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring equipment and waste receptacles are clean.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks The Material Packer operates with plant equipment, including forklifts to pack materials like PET and other products. Record bag weights, de-bag PET flake and Una-Dyn Pellet, remove trash, and use a bag baling machine to bale empty bags.
Essential Functions- Monitor PET output in accordance with production goals.
- Keep equipment and floor waste receptacles empty and clean as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Load and unload trucks as directed.
- Assist with physical inventory.
- Track and record material movements using authorized production reports.
- Work with Quality department to maintain acceptable quality of product.
- Follow all procedures, processes, and safety requirements.
- Assist other workers with specific tasks as requested.
- General housekeeping of all work areas.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications 1. Education:
a. High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
2. Experience:
a. 1-2 years manufacturing experience.
b. 1-2 years sit-down forklift experience.
3. Licences / Certifications:
a. N/A
4. Language:
a. Proficiency in English required
b. Bi-Lingual - Spanish is a plus
Schedule:Hours: 3:45pm - 4:00am
Week #1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun
Week#2: Wed, Thurs
