Blue Cross Rn Remote information

What can I do as a Blue Cross RN that isn't bedside?

A Blue Cross RN can work in case management, telehealth, health coaching, or utilization review, which involve coordinating care, providing patient education remotely, and assessing medical necessity. These roles typically require strong communication skills, clinical knowledge, and sometimes additional certifications, allowing nurses to work outside of direct patient bedside care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Blue Cross RN remote, and why are they important?

To excel as a Blue Cross RN Remote, you need an active RN license, clinical nursing experience (often in case management or utilization review), and strong assessment abilities. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, telehealth platforms, and case management software is typically required, along with certifications like CCM (Certified Case Manager) being advantageous. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and organizational skills help nurses effectively support members and collaborate virtually with healthcare teams. These competencies ensure quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient service delivery in a remote environment.

Both roles are essential in remote healthcare support, but they differ in scope and qualification requirements.

What is a Blue Cross RN remote?

A Blue Cross RN Remote is a registered nurse who works remotely for Blue Cross Blue Shield, typically supporting members through telehealth, case management, care coordination, and health coaching. These nurses use phone, video calls, and digital platforms to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and provide education and support. Their role helps ensure that members receive high-quality care and guidance without needing in-person visits, making healthcare more accessible and convenient. Blue Cross RNs working remotely may also assist with pre-authorization, utilization management, or disease management programs.

How does a Blue Cross RN remote typically communicate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members?

As a remote Blue Cross RN, effective communication with physicians, case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals is essential. Most coordination occurs via secure digital platforms, video calls, and phone conferences, allowing for timely updates on patient progress and care plans. Regular virtual meetings and documentation in shared electronic health records ensure seamless teamwork and continuity of care. Building strong digital communication skills and being proactive about follow-ups are key to success in this remote setting.

Job description

Join Amplity, the full-service go-to partner of biopharma companies that delivers flexible + specialized medical + commercial services. No matter where a drug is in its lifecycle, we scale with ease to maximize resources + improve impact for all our clients. Through strategic partnerships + deep therapeutic expertise, Amplity transforms how breakthrough treatments reach the people who need them.

Role Profile - Clinical Diagnostic Liaison (CDL)

The Clinical Diagnostics Liaison (CDL) is a field-based professional within the Medical Affairs organization, serving as part of a clinically focused team. The CDL plays a critical role in delivering disease-state education, increasing awareness of the company and its clinical programs, and driving patient identification efforts within the medical community.

CDLs provide clinical and disease awareness support for a rare disease program by engaging healthcare providers in meaningful, compliant clinical exchange. Key responsibilities include calling on targeted healthcare professionals with the objective of directly engaging providers and staff, communicating relevant disease-state information, and facilitating early diagnosis and identification of appropriate patients for clinical trial consideration.

The CDL is responsible for accurately capturing and maintaining interactions and insights within the company's CRM system. CDLs will interact with the multidisciplinary team, mapping patient journeys, and activating referral pathways to clinical trial sites.

This role requires a highly credible and professional individual with strong clinical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a highly proactive, results-driven approach. The ideal candidate brings an assertive, opportunity-seeking "hunter" mentality-demonstrating persistence, strategic outreach, and a strong sense of ownership in identifying new provider relationships, uncovering undiagnosed or misdiagnosed patient populations, and accelerating patient identification efforts. This individual must be comfortable operating compliantly within a matrix structure. Position is remote and will require 75% travel including overnight business travel.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $170K - $180K. The salary range displayed may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees, certifications, and other relevant factors.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Clinical Diagnostic Liaison

  • Perform duties around territory management and upkeep of CRM system, ensuring data accuracy
  • Increase disease awareness related to targeted physicians/staff and accurately document findings appropriately in the CRM
  • Provide physician and staff insights for use during planning and strategy meetings
  • Collaborate with field and internal cross-functional teams
  • Establish and coordinate a health care partnership with relevant stakeholders
  • Self-directed territory management and travel to ensure that targets are reached in an efficient manner

Experience:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree or clinical license preferred RN, PharmD, PhD, PA, MSN, DNP
  • Pharma field experience required
  • Rare disease experience preferred
  • Strong clinical communication, learning acumen, relationship building and presentation skills
  • High EQ with strong resilience and soft skills
  • Experience developing and activating referral networks for clinical trial recruitment preferred

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
