Job Summary
The Bolts Blue Crew serve as brand ambassadors for the Tampa Bay Lightning, engaging fans in the arena, in the community, and at team events. The Bolts Blue Crew is comprised of energetic, outgoing and confident individuals who use their unique talents, personalities, and performance skills to help create world-class fan engagement while serving as an extension of the Lightning brand. The Bolts Blue Crew create a welcoming, fun, and energetic atmosphere at home games and community events through making memories with fans, inspiring new generations of hockey lovers, and spreading enthusiasm and spirit for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with fans on Ford Thunder Alley and at arena entry points
  • Engage fans by taking photos, leading chants, and energizing the crowd to enhance the game-day atmosphere at Benchmark International Arena
  • Execute sponsored activations, including contestant games, on-ice games, and giveaway distribution
  • Assist with special presentations and pre- and post-game on-ice elements
  • Support the execution of Electric Experiences (Fan Zamboni, Tesla Coil, Penalty Box, etc.)
  • Maintain game presentation props and ensure work areas are organized and presentable
  • Represent the Tampa Bay Lightning at external events such as watch parties, promotions, and charity appearances
  • Deliver a best-in-class fan experience by proactively engaging guests of all ages with energy and professionalism
  • Serve as a positive ambassador of the Lightning brand, consistently upholding team values
  • Follow direction from game presentation staff and adhere to run-of-show timelines to support in-game entertainment
  • Maintain high energy, enthusiasm, and crowd engagement throughout all games and events
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and transport of game presentation elements and activation materials
  • Adapt quickly to real-time changes while maintaining composure and professionalism
  • Ensure all fan interactions are inclusive, respectful, and aligned with organizational standards
  • Uphold appearance and uniform standards to reflect a professional image
  • Participate in rehearsals, trainings, and team meetings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • At least 6 months of prior work experience preferred
  • General knowledge of the NHL and Tampa Bay Lightning
  • Previous Brand Ambassador, performance or hype squad experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while adhering to strict event timelines and run-of-show requirements
  • Energetic personality that is able to work collaboratively with a large team
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to service guests
  • Can entertain in front of large groups of people
  • Ability to ice skate (preferred but not required)
  • Can commit to working a majority of the Tampa Bay Lightning home game schedule

Working Conditions
  • Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
  • Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
  • Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
  • Ability to work in loud environments
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying weather conditions and during high-traffic event times
  • Must have the ability to work a dynamic schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
