Job Description:

SCOPE: The Employee Health, Infection Control Quality RN is a pivotal Quality Services role charged with safeguarding the health of our workforce, minimizing healthcare-associated infections, and elevating staff competency through targeted education. You will blend epidemiologic rigor, adult-learning principles, and operational savvy to build robust employee health programs, infection prevention strategies, and ongoing training initiatives, ensuring Mary Bird Perkins remains a leader in accreditation excellence, regulatory compliance, and patient-centered cancer care. 30% travel to sites across Louisiana and MS.

FUNCTIONS:
1. Strategic Employee Health Management/Programs.
2. Infection Control and Surveillance.
3. Education and Competency Development.
4. Policy and Procedure Oversight.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration.
6. Continuous Improvement and Data Analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's preferred.
RN license (State of LA or Compact) and certification in Infection Control (CIC) strongly preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in infection control, employee health.
Knowledge of regulatory standards (CDC, OSHA, Joint Commission, CMS).

Certified BLS Instructor preferred, must attain within 90 days.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
