bpcc.edu Minimum Qualifications Education Requirement: Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with the intent to or actively pursuing a Master's Degree in Nursing. Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered Nurse in Louisiana

Current BLS - Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer Instructor certification preferred. Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting prior to appointment. College-level nursing education teaching experience preferred.

Exceptional knowledge in the areas of medical - surgical nursing. Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to work well with students and faculty.

Exceptional organizational skills necessary to coordinate laboratory, classroom, and clinical setting. Competence in the use of computer technology to deliver instruction. Job Duties and Other Information Instructor duties to include, but not limited to: Instruction of students in nursing.

Contributions to the continued development of the curriculum. Participation in professional growth and community service. Maintenance of conference and academic advising hours.

Committee work. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
