Job Summary:
Virtus Investment Partners is a dynamic, fast-growing organization dedicated to the success of its employees. The IT Infrastructure Services Specialist is responsible for delivering frontline support for hardware, software, and financial applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Responsibilities:
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, with a focus on minimizing downtime in a high-stakes financial environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Bloomberg terminals, and other investment-specific platforms, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, patching, and deployments in coordination with cybersecurity and compliance teams.
• Maintain and monitor IT asset inventory, ensuring compliance with security protocols and audit requirements.
• Document incidents and their resolutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field; or equivalent experience and certifications (e.g., CompTIA, ITIL, Microsoft)
• 3–5 years of experience in IT service desk or infrastructure support, preferably within financial services or investment management
• Proficiency with Windows desktop environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and scripting (PowerShell preferred)
• Familiarity with financial applications such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar platforms
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset, with the ability to support users in a fast-paced, regulated environment
