We collect, analyze, process and publish the data which is the backbone of our iconic Bloomberg Terminal; the facts and figures which ultimately move the financial markets. Our Team:
The Exchanges & Venues (EV) team supports over 350 trading venues globally and is constantly looking to improve our capability to effectively manage our market-leading exchange content.
Our Technical Project Managers plan, lead, coordinate and empower teams to complete large scale projects. They formulate and deliver end-to-end technology solutions in line with strategic business objectives. They understand how market data is used by various Bloomberg products and customers, and they can collaborate with internal and external partners to implement enterprise-wide initiatives. They are highly analytical individuals who can innovate and deliver in a multi-faceted and constantly evolving technical environment.
The role:
Content Acquisition's Exchanges & Venues (EV) group is seeking a Team Leader for our AMER team of Technical Account Managers (TAM). Reporting to the Global Head of Exchanges & Venues, you will manage a team of 6 regional employees and help deliver strategies that drive commercial results, as well as technical and operational excellence. You will work closely with a variety of Engineering teams, as well as other internal stakeholders, downstream consumers and clients, to achieve targets and improve the overall exchange product offering.
The Exchanges team supports over 350 trading venues globally and is constantly looking to improve our capability to effectively manage our market-leading exchange content. We are looking for an outstanding leader and experienced market data professional who has a good understanding of all asset classes, market structure and relevant financial regulatory frameworks, and an ability to bring an entrepreneurial vision to the team. You build relationships quickly and effortlessly and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You are a natural problem solver and would enjoy the opportunity to make a real impact on our business. In addition to day-to-day leadership support, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and training the team, and coordinating talent development efforts with global counterparts to promote shared best practices.
We'll trust you to:
  • Manage, mentor, develop and challenge a team of experienced Technical Account Managers (TAM)
  • Be a strong and dedicated leader who can communicate a clear vision about where the department is heading and how you're going to get there together
  • Act as a point of escalation and face off to senior stakeholders at the exchanges, and build trusted and collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders across Bloomberg, including Core Product, Enterprise, Sales and Global Data
  • Leverage your experience in the financial industry and understanding of market data and technology to develop strategies to influence and inform the strategic direction of Bloomberg's exchange market data offering
  • Assess risk and rewards for multiple business units and manage expectations with stakeholders
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure that teams are focused on the highest-value work, projects are delivered in a timely manner, and proactive investments are made to Bloomberg's technologies that promote scalability and resiliency of exchange market data solutions
  • Analyse and leverage business intelligence to inform your decision-making
  • Have a workforce plan that maximises the skills of the team, fosters collaboration and encourages diversity
  • Act as an advocate for diversity and inclusion through the understanding of Bloomberg's value, truly understanding its importance to our business
  • Occasional travel is required

You'll need to have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field
  • 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience (for example leading projects, mentoring people, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of market data experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions
  • The vision to align your team's goals to the fast-changing landscape of real-time market data, reference data and technology, and the ability to execute a business and people strategy which responds dynamically to the ever-evolving needs of the market
  • Strong relationship management skills and experience dealing with senior business executives
  • A proven ability to establish credibility and build influential relationships with multiple internal and external clients and stakeholders
  • Comfort with a high degree of autonomy, and demonstrated ability in managing competing priorities from multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to context switch often and effectively and deliver against aggressive targets
  • Experience analyzing workflows and removing organizational barriers to improve cross-team collaboration and efficiency

Salary Range = 135,000 - 230,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
