The Blood Bank Medical Technologist Lead serves as the technical and operational lead for the blood bank, providing expert oversight of transfusion services and complex testing. This role supports regulatory compliance, ensures quality and safety standards, and serves as a resource to laboratory staff and leadership. The Lead functions at a Medical Technologist III level and requires advanced blood bank expertise, certification, and demonstrated leadership experience. Position Details:

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, or clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.

Experience: At least four years of laboratory experience in high complexity Blood Bank testing

Required Certifications: Current certification as medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist or categorical MT/MLS certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent. Other: Operation and maintenance of standard laboratory equipment. Skill in phlebotomy procedures. Basic Computer knowledge.
Preferred Experience: 4 years blood bank experience preferred.
