Job description

Reporting to the Associate Creative Director, the Senior Content Specialist will support various writing responsibilities that fall within the Marketing team. This person will work closely with the marketing managers and VP as well as supporting the product management and sales team with various content needs.
Examples of the type of writing needed will include (but is not limited to): emails, blog and social posts, advertising headlines, PRs, catalog copy, blogging, website, catalog, email copy, PowerPoint presentations, white papers, bylines, and more.
This person will also edit collateral including but not limited to packaging, video scripts, and brochures. This person needs to have a strong knowledge and background supporting digital writing specifically with experience in SEO, social media planning and management and other digital best practices.
Lastly, this person should be a naturally creative individual with a strong knowledge of writing fundamentals. Knowing the rules of writing (AP Stylebook) and then how and when to break them is critical to success. This position requires you to be in the office Monday-Wednesday with an option to WFH Thursdays/Friday.
You have already accomplished (required):
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication or other related field
  • 5+ years Communications
  • 5+ years using Office Systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

You may have already accomplished (preferred):
  • 5+ years Social Media experience, planning and coordination
  • Email Training
  • SEO training and/or experience incorporating into writing

Job Responsibilities
  • Produce clear, creative, and on-brand materials that support and build the company brands from corporate campaigns to product specific launches and all supporting collateral

  • Examples of collateral include email, press releases, advertisements (digital and print), product catalog, brochures, flyers, displays, website, etc.
  • Review all copy to follow AP StyleGuide and for spelling, grammar, brand voice, flow, consistency and appropriate
  • Work with digital team to ensure the website is always populated with new content from the product overview pages to the blog
  • Support all product launches with the product development team from a content and creative campaign standpoint
  • Actively participate in the flow of new product ideas, plans and launch activities
  • Coordinate and positively interact with Product Management to ensure constant flow and communication of new products into all markets
  • Manage the blog schedule, producing at minimum two blog posts per month
  • Work and actively participate with the social team to develop content and oversee // manage the editorial calendar, influencer interactions, as well as responding in timely manner to social public and private social messages
  • Assist the sales team in the support of distribution opportunities in all markets, including presentations and materials to key customers, specialty collateral development, etc.
  • Assist in the development of training presentations and technical documents including PowerPoint presentations, technical bulletins, videos, and white papers
  • Research issues, topics, and statistics to keep our marketing fresh with the latest information
