Job description

POLA Marketing Internship
(Yes, it's paid. And yes, you'll do real work.)
Hi there, future POLA intern.
We're a growing marketing agency based in South Louisiana that believes great marketing should actually move the needle. Not just look pretty in a portfolio.
At POLA Marketing, we care deeply about our clients' businesses and just as deeply about the people who work here. We move fast, we think strategically, we execute creatively, and we treat each other with respect. No egos. No fluff. Just real work that drives results.
We're small enough that you'll make a real impact.
Structured enough that you'll learn how a marketing agency actually runs.
And collaborative enough that your ideas won't sit quietly in a Google Doc.
If you like writing, creating, thinking strategically, problem-solving, and occasionally laughing through tight deadlines, you'll probably like it here.
The Role
You'll be doing real marketing work - not coffee runs.
This internship is designed to give you hands-on experience across multiple areas of agency life, including:
  • Writing social captions, blog content, and website copy
  • Assisting in campaign concepting and strategy
  • Supporting client projects and internal creative brainstorming
  • Helping with content planning and marketing execution
  • Conducting research and competitive analysis
  • Assisting with brand voice development
  • Participating in client meetings (when appropriate)

You'll report directly to the Marketing Director and work closely with our creative and strategy team.
We believe the best way to learn is by doing, so you'll be contributing to real projects for real clients with real expectations.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong writing skills (grammar matters)
  • Creative thinking and idea generation
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable receiving feedback (and applying it)
  • Reliable and professional
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to jump in wherever needed

Marketing experience is a plus, but curiosity and work ethic matter more.
The Details
  • Paid internship
  • 20-40 hours per week (based on availability)
  • Summer / Fall / Spring semester options available
  • In-office in Covington, LA
  • Real briefs. Real deadlines. Real clients.
About POLA Marketing
POLA Marketing was founded to help businesses grow through intentional strategy and creative execution.
We work with businesses across industries - building brands, managing content, developing campaigns, and creating marketing systems that actually produce results.
We believe:
  • Strategy comes before design.
  • Marketing should drive revenue.
  • Communication matters.
  • Respect for people and their time is non-negotiable.

We are growing intentionally and we're looking for smart, driven people who want to grow with us.
No egos.
No drama.
No hiding behind "that's not my job."
Just good people doing good work.
If You're Interested
Send us:
  • Your resume
  • A short note about why you'd be a great fit
  • 2-3 writing samples (school or professional)

We're excited to meet someone who wants more than just an internship, someone who wants experience that actually prepares them for a career in marketing.
And yes, it's paid. Because it should be.
