Financial Services Associate (4–7 Years) – New York or Washington, DC

Direct Counsel is representing a nationally recognized law firm seeking a Financial Services Associate to join its Corporate & Finance practice in New York or Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the rapidly evolving fintech, blockchain, and digital assets industry, advising both emerging and established companies on complex corporate and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital asset transactions

  • Support venture financings, fund formation, payments, lending, and alternative credit transactions

  • Counsel fintech companies on regulatory compliance, licensing, and enforcement matters

  • Assist with corporate finance transactions involving emerging technology and financial platforms

  • Work with cross-functional teams on matters involving securities laws, banking regulation, privacy, and data security

Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
