Senior Blockchain Engineer

Client: A&C Technology

Location: Fully onsite Irvine, CA or Mountain View, CA (some flexibility dependent on individual circumstances)

Duration: 3-6 Months CTH

Work Authorization: Someone who doesn’t require visa sponsorship at all.

Day to Day Duties:

  • Go-to Blockchain expert
  • 70% coding/30% cross-functional work providing guidance to Product Managers and Marketing teams on technical feasibility
  • Will be involved in new product design with Marketing team
  • Meeting with end customers (5 hours/week)
  • Will work with team in China (unsure what hours but will allow flexibility for start times)
  • Design, build, and maintain blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and distributed systems powering BioMatrix.ai.
  • Develop tokenized payment systems and identity verification flows, ensuring high security and usability.
  • Implement smart contracts for token utility, payments, and governance.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and efficiency of blockchain systems through rigorous testing and best practices.
  • Integrate biometric verification (Face Scan) and payment flows (BioPay) into blockchain applications.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to align blockchain development with roadmap and user needs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices for blockchain development within AC Tech.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in Web3, DeFi, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, and decentralized identity to guide innovation.

Top Requirements:

  • Layer 2 Blockchain Experience
  • Proficiency in Java (any version)
  • Real World Assets (RWA – tough find)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cryptography, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of blockchain development experience (protocol, dApps, Layer 1/Layer 2, or DeFi/Web3).
  • Proficiency in Java and Solidity.
  • Strong understanding of smart contract security, cryptography, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with Ethereum, Solana, or other major blockchain platforms.
  • Proven track record of delivering production-grade blockchain systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • HUGE plus if they speak Chinese - team in China
  • Layer 1 blockchain experience
  • Experience in Go
  • Familiarity with fintech, identity verification, or biometric systems is a plus.
