Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Assist with research on digital asset markets, blockchain protocols, and emerging digital asset trends and summarize findings into clear, concise notes.
  • Review blockchain documentation and vendor materials to understand data fields, events and known edge cases.
  • Help evaluate the auditability of various digital assets by querying blockchain data, writing SQL queries to extract on-chain transactions, and analyzing validator/staking activity across multiple blockchains
  • Learn to work with blockchain RPC endpoints and APIs using firm-approved environments to extract and transform digital asset data for audit evidence
  • Prepare draft workpapers and summaries for managers to review during digital asset audits and consulting engagements
  • Support the team in reviewing and documenting internal controls over digital asset management, including private key management, transaction verification and wallet operations
  • Collaborate with DAB team members and engagement teams to support audit readiness, testing procedures, and timely client deliverables for Digital Assets & Blockchain engagements.Communicate status and issues proactively and escalate questions appropriately
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships
  • Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness and commitment to understanding their goals and needs
  • Participate in client assignments from beginning to end
  • Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Curiosity about blockchain technology and willingness to dive deep into technical documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a data quality mindset
  • Experience with Python scripting and SQL querying required. Prior exposure to blockchain data, APIs, or on-chain analysis is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly and apply them to solve problems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and project management skills, including basic knowledge of GAAP and GAAS concepts from coursework, willingness to learn firm audit methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results driven team oriented environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong computer and technical skills including prior exposure to Python, and SQL.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Internship experience in accounting or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
