Wintermute is a global company with offices in London and Singapore. It opened its US office in early 2025 and it is set to grow significantly over the next several years. It's a unique opportunity to play a role in the early rapid expansion of Wintermute Americas.

Responsibilities
  • Crypto Settlements: Manage the settlement process for digital assets; this involves direct communication with counterparties to agree on settlement figures and coordinating the settlement of assets
  • Operational Risk Management: Maintain an extreme level of attention to detail to mitigate risks, ensuring zero errors in high-value transactions that directly impact the firm's PnL.
  • Inventory management: Working closely with the traders to ensure inventory is being distributed for maximum efficiency across our trading venues
  • Trade Lifecycle Management: Manage end-to-end middle office operations for equities (single stocks and ETFs), options, futures, and FX. Be able to execute complex reconciliations, settlements, and the management of corporate actions and dividends.
  • New Initiatives & Process Development: Assist in the design, creation, implementation and improvement of robust operational workflows and controls
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Trading, Finance, Compliance, and Legal teams to identify and act on regulatory implications across multiple products
  • Adhoc tasks: Answering trade queries internally and externally
Hard Skills Requirements
  • BSc in business/finance/quantitative subjects
  • 3+ years of experience in Middle Office/Trade Operations function in a financial services company with high-volume and complex operations (multiple products, multiple geographies, financial regulations); experience in an hft/market making business is a significant advantage
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Proven experience in process improvement
  • Strong interest in trading and a curiosity about blockchain, crypto, and DeFi
Strong Preference To Have:
  • Experience with databases/SQL/reading and writing simple Python scripts would be a significant advantage
  • Deep practical knowledge of traditional financial instruments, including equities, options, futures, and FX
  • Series 99 license
  • Professional crypto experience
