Job Summary

The Tender position is a physically demanding job that consists of pushing pulling and constantly lifting concrete block weighing an average of 50 lb's. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Ability to lift 50lb concrete blocks on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be capable of performing job duties such as bending, squatting, stooping, sweeping, and shoveling.
  • Ability to communicate both verbal & written and understand direction.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to climb conveyors and vertical ladders is needed. - Mechanical and repair knowledge needed.
  • Two-handed dexterity needed for the use of tools and equipment.
  • Must be capable of operating a wheeled loader and forklift.
  • Ability and willingness to learn how to execute each operational function as needed; i.e. - operator, cuber, forklift, etc.
  • Ability to maintain and enforce a safe working environment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Electrical, welding and fabricating background a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Forklift experience highly preferred
Working Conditions
  • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location 
Physical Requirements
  • Requires wallking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Heavy Work-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment  
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
