Job #: 3031678 Apex Systems is currently hiring a Digital Design Engineer with a leading defense and aerospace technology client. This role supports the development of advanced digital electronics used in high reliability aerospace and defense systems. The work is hands-on, technically complex, and impacts mission critical programs from concept through integration. Project Details / Mission Supported: • Design and development of digital electronic hardware supporting advanced guidance, processing, and sensing systems
• Work on next-generation defense platforms involving high‑speed digital electronics and embedded processing
• Collaboration with cross‑functional engineering teams through full hardware lifecycle (design, test, integration) Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology
• 2–8+ years of experience in digital electronic circuit design and analysis
• Experience designing hardware using processors, FPGAs, memory, and digital interfaces
• Hands-on experience with high‑speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART
• Experience taking designs from requirements or block diagrams through complete hardware implementation
• Experience with schematic capture, simulation, test, and integration of electronic modules or circuit card assemblies
• Experience with PCB design tools such as Siemens EDA / Mentor Graphics (DxDesigner, Xpedition, HyperLynx, or similar) Location: Tucson, Arizona
