The team works closely with the data collection side of Blast, which gathers display, audio, and other plugin-based data such as CDR, USB, printer, scanner, and geolocation information. On the networking side, we establish and manage the required connections, adapt to varying network conditions, and help ensure seamless delivery of data to its consumers on the client side.Role SummaryWe are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong cloud expertise to join the Blast Networking Team. In this role, you will contribute to high-impact upcoming projects focused on redesigning how Blast connections are established between client and server in cloud deployments. You will help shape technical direction, collaborate across teams, and drive improvements to critical networking and connectivity capabilities.What You Will Do* Drive the design and implementation of cloud networking solutions for Blast Protocol.* Contribute to the redesign of client-server connection establishment for cloud deployments.* Work on customer-facing technical challenges involving networking, connectivity, and reliability.* Collaborate across teams on design discussions, implementation planning, testing, and rollout.* Develop and maintain automation frameworks and workflows to support engineering efficiency.* Participate in technical reviews and help ensure quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability.* Help modernize and improve legacy technology stacks where needed.* Apply cloud-native and container-based approaches to solve complex platform problems.What You Will Bring* Minimum of 4+ years of experience in designing and coding in C or C++* Strong expertise in transport-layer networking, with deep knowledge of TLS, TCP, and UDP.* Solid understanding of client-agent connection architectures in cloud deployments.* Hands-on experience with WebRTC.* Preferred experience with STUN, TURN, and related connectivity technologies.* Ability to design innovative technical solutions for customer-facing problems.* Strong problem-solving skills for complex networking and connectivity issues.* Experience collaborating across teams on design, implementation, and testing.* Experience writing and maintaining automation frameworks.* Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions/workflows.Preferred Qualifications* Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Networking and/or relevant professional experience.* Exposure to Cloud Networking with Wireshark and Debuggers.* Experience with AI tools or AI-assisted development workflows.* Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetese and Docker.* Familiarity with scalability and reliability engineering.* Background in cloud-native architecture.* Experience improving or re-architecting legacy technology stacks.**Location:**Mountain View, CA **Location Type:**hybrid **Travel Expectations:** None **Education:**Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.**Compensation:** *The typical base salary for this role is between USD $150,825– $201,100 per year and it may be eligible for participation in a corporate bonus program.
