Job Description

This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting and minor automotive repairs.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system
  • Respond to all Guest Requests within a very timely manner
  • Respond to all emergency or life threatening situations
  • Follow established safety procedures
  • Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs
  • Duties include emergency on call status
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-4 year experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment 
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Technical school desired
  • Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment
  • Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture as well as follow directions on warning labels
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management
  • Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
