Job Title: Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

Position Overview
Person Centered Support Services (PCSS) is seeking a mission-driven Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to deliver community-based mental health skill-building services. This role is designed for professionals who are committed to driving client stability, independence, and measurable outcomes through structured, person-centered interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) to support client progress and community integration
Deliver skill-building, supportive counseling, and service coordination in alignment with MHSS requirements
Monitor client symptoms, behavioral health needs, and medication adherence
Maintain ongoing engagement with clients and authorized stakeholders (e.g., CSBs, psychiatrists, social workers) to ensure continuity of care
Facilitate linkage to community resources and support systems
Provide coaching in behavior management, coping strategies, and daily living skills
Documentation & Compliance
Complete BIRP notes in LAURIS within required timeframes to support billing and compliance standards
Submit quarterly reports and supporting documentation to ensure continued service authorization
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, Human Rights, and DBHDS/DMAS regulatory requirements
Ensure all required client documentation (e.g., releases, human rights forms) is completed and maintained
Operational Expectations
Maintain active caseload engagement with consistent face-to-face client contact
Utilize LAURIS software for documentation and service tracking
Ensure timely submission of all notes and reports to support revenue cycle efficiency
Collaborate with internal leadership to align service delivery with organizational goals
Qualifications
QMHP eligibility per Virginia DBHDS standards (required)
Experience in community-based mental health services, case management, or skill-building preferred
Strong working knowledge of ISP development, documentation standards, and Medicaid/MCO expectations
Ability to operate independently in a field-based environment while maintaining accountability
Tools & Requirements
Completion of Background Check and Central Registry
Access to reliable transportation for community-based services
Access to a phone, tablet, or computer for documentation in LAURIS
Completion of required trainings (CPR, CPI, Human Rights, and other mandated trainings)
