Job Title:                     Laboratory Technician

Location:                     Plymouth, MN 55447

Shift:
                                    • 1st Shift
                                    • Flexible 8-hour schedule between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
                                    • Monday – Friday
                                    • Occasional rotational weekend work required

Duration:                     12 Months

Work Schedule:
                                    • 40 hours per week
                                    • Fully onsite position
                                    • Remote work not available

Position Summary:
• Support Molecular Biology and Fermentation Research & Development teams through laboratory operations and support activities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and workspaces.
• Perform routine laboratory support functions independently after training.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, biosafety, and sterile handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare laboratory media and agar plates for research and testing activities.
• Restock laboratory supplies and maintain inventory of consumables.
• Clean, sterilize, and organize laboratory glassware and equipment.
• Collect, handle, and autoclave laboratory waste according to biosafety requirements.
• Maintain laboratory support areas and ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Perform routine cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Learn the operation and functionality of laboratory instruments.
• Support Molecular Biology and Fermentation R&D projects as assigned.
• Collect samples during rotational weekend assignments.
• Follow sterile techniques, biosafety standards, and laboratory safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Work independently with minimal supervision following training.
