Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for testing precision electronic instruments and sensors in accordance with Engineering specifications and Manufacturing Assembly Procedure (MAP) instructions

Essential Job Duties

  • Responsible for testing precision electronic instruments and sensors in accordance with Engineering specifications and Manufacturing Assembly Procedure (MAP) instructions.
  • Perform functional testing on products produced using standard test equipment, vacuum chambers and leak detectors.
  • Ensure product conformance and be able to understand test results and tune and/or troubleshoot systems as required to sub-assembly level using standard test equipment such as oscilloscope and DVM. 
  • Record test results and unit histories into various data tracking systems.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-6 years relevant experience. 
  • Associates Degree in Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology or Chemistry or equivalent vocational/technical/military training with 0-2 years relevant experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with fine motor skills required.
  • Background / understanding of test sequences and requirements
  • Experience with circuit boards, electrical equipment, measuring devices and hand tools
  • Ability to grow into troubleshooting failures for efficient and effective resolutions to issues.
  • Cleanroom environment with an understanding and importance of cleanliness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail required.
  • Must be capable of reading engineering drawings and assembly specifications
  • Must be organized and keep accurate records.
  • Must communicate and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Will be expected to interface effectively with supervision and work in a team-based environment.
  • Must be comfortable using PC's and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in the use of vacuum gauges, valves and fittings are preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated while remaining part of a close-knit team

  • SAP knowledge preferred

Additional Information

Compensation ranges for roles at INFICON vary based on a number of factors considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, experience, training, certifications, and overall business and organizational needs. It is not typical for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions are made based on each candidate’s unique qualifications and circumstances.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $22- $26 per hour. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10% as well as 401K match up to 8% (vesting schedule). The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
