BEPC is actively looking for a Senior Construction & Validation Manager in Irvine, CA!

W2 Contract – 4 months with possible extensions

Pay Rate: $70.00 - $75.00/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: 100% Onsite

Location Requirement: This is a fully onsite position. Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance of Irvine, CA. Candidates requiring relocation are not eligible for consideration for this opportunity.

Work Schedule: This is a contract assignment. Work hours will be scheduled based on project needs and may vary throughout the duration of the assignment.

Compensation: Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C and C2H arrangements will not be considered.


Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Construction Manager & Validation Manager to join our client’s site in Irvine, CA. This role will support facility engineering projects involving equipment installation, validation, shutdown planning, and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) administration. The position serves as a key liaison between engineering, quality, design teams, and contractors to ensure projects are executed on schedule, validated appropriately, and transitioned successfully into operations.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting capital projects within a regulated manufacturing environment, strong project coordination skills, and familiarity with equipment validation and Maximo asset management.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate project activities across engineering, design, quality, and contractor teams.
  • Participate in internal project review meetings and provide regular project status updates.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and document meetings with engineering teams, design firms, and mechanical contractors.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, action items, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project presentations and status reports for leadership.

Shutdown Planning & Execution

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of facility shutdown activities.
  • Participate in shutdown planning meetings and document meeting outcomes.
  • Coordinate shutdown activities to minimize operational impact while maintaining project timelines.

Equipment Installation & Project Support

  • Coordinate equipment installation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor installation progress to ensure work aligns with engineering specifications and project objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve installation issues and maintain project schedules.

Validation Engineering

  • Author and execute Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols for new equipment and systems.
  • Prepare IQ reports and supporting validation documentation.
  • Organize and maintain Turnover Package (TOP) documentation.
  • Coordinate review and approval of validation documentation with Mechanical Engineering and Quality Engineering.
  • Support additional commissioning and qualification activities, including Commissioning Qualification (CQ), as required.
  • Maximo Asset Management

Support asset lifecycle management activities within Maximo, including:

  • Asset decommissioning and documentation.
  • Creation of maintenance job plans.
  • Development of preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
  • Spare parts identification and documentation.
  • Routing and approval of job plans and PM workflows.
  • Creation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Asset induction, documentation, and approval processes.

Deliverables

  • Accurate meeting agendas, minutes, and project coordination documentation.
  • Shutdown plans and execution documentation.
  • Completed IQ protocols, validation reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Turnover Packages (TOP) ready for final approval.
  • Maximo asset records, preventive maintenance schedules, and maintenance job plans.
  • Lockout/Tagout procedures and spare parts documentation.


Main Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar industries preferred).
  • Knowledge of equipment qualification and validation practices, including IQ documentation.
  • Experience using Maximo or another CMMS platform.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs, asset lifecycle management, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.


Preferred qualifications: 

· Experience supporting engineering projects within medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar industries.
