Job description

Job Title: Summer research assistant

Department: Chemistry

Supervisor: Dr. Hamilton

Starting Rate of Pay: $11.50

Length of Time: June 1 - July 24

Department Description: With a spirit of exploration and engagement through rigorous laboratory research, chemistry majors are anchored in experiential learning opportunities that help them explore and create a new knowledge of molecular-scale phenomena.

Job Description: Summer research assistants will conduct original experiments in. the Hamilton Lab until the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Grace Hamilton.

Job Location/ Hours Required:

The candidate will perform most/all job duties in the Wanek School of Natural Sciences. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, this position requires up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, conduct, analyze, and document original biochemistry experiments
  • Contribute to lab maintenance tasks
  • Present research findings at internal HPU events

Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled STEM majors at HPU. Prior communication with Dr. Hamilton.
