DESCRIPTION: 
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Supervisor, R&D Projects, overseeing initiatives that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you'll lead a team of project managers and technical specialists while ensuring successful execution of complex diagnostic product development and technology transfer projects. You'll contribute to innovation by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resource allocation, and maintaining client relationships. This position offers opportunities to contribute to clinical diagnostics developments while developing leadership skills in a professional organization. 
REQUIREMENTS: 
• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in biotech industry, with focus on R&D, technology transfer and project management 
• Preferred Fields of Study: Biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or related scientific field 
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience leading project or teams with at least 1 year supervising and supporting a team; direct management preferred. 

• Strong knowledge of molecular biology, nucleic acid chemistry, molecular technology and assay development 

​• Strong understanding of clinical diagnostics and molecular technology application in diagnostic practices.

• Shown experience in assay development, validation, and troubleshooting. 

• Ability to work closely within deadlines and efficiently implement research projects. 
Leadership & Communication: 
• Strong leadership and team management skills; Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams 
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 

• Proficiency in stakeholder management and client communication 
• Effective negotiation and problem-solving capabilities 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a responsive environment

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $91,700.00–$137,525.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
