A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT, Senior Cloud Engineer

The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Castle Biosciences' cloud platform. This role partners across infrastructure, security, development, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support enterprise and clinical operations while driving the adoption of cloud best practices. The majority of this role's time is dedicated to designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure-based solutions that meet security, scalability, and performance standards; establishing and enhancing cloud platform governance and observability practices; and providing technical leadership through solution architecture, stakeholder collaboration, advanced troubleshooting, and cloud governance to ensure reliable, compliant, and high-performing cloud services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of direct Azure engineering experience in enterprise environments required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.
  • Experience with all Azure products and solutions, Terraform/Bicep, CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Atlassian.
  • Proven experience building and supporting enterprise Azure services and solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in an Azure environment

SCHEDULE

  • This is a full-time position in the Phoenix or Friendswood office with standard M-F working hours.
  • Off- hours work will be expected to complete projects with minimal business impact.
