Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Associate Location: Rockville, MD - Onsite Type: Contract Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 hourly Overview The Manufacturing Associate I participates in the manufacturing of biopharmaceutical drug product to support MacroGenics’ multiple clinical programs in the Protein Purification area. This position will work in the manufacturing suite under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure that materials manufactured meet required specifications and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Support full biomanufacturing process with buffer prep, column packing, purification, and related tasks. Complete documentation and data work accurately, including batch records, work instructions, SOPs, and GMP compliance. Participate in hands-on manufacturing of materials for clinical trials in a GMP environment, conducting purification operations such as filtration and chromatography. Maintain equipment and manufacturing area cleanliness and orderliness at all times. Collaborate with team members through effective communication, both electronically and in person, to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to all safety procedures when working with hazardous materials. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent with exposure to science and math coursework, and minimum three years of related biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience or Associate’s degree in a related discipline with no experience. Experience with aseptic techniques of GMP manufacturing preferred. Ability to self-motivate and driven to succeed in a manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Pre-employment requirements include a 7-year background check, drug screening, education and employment verification.
