Job Title: Manufacturing Associate
Location: Rockville, MD
Type: Contract
Compensation: $18 - $25/hour
Overview
Biopharmaceutical Company is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to join their team in support of the development and production of therapies for their clinical programs! This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience within biomanufacturing operations and contributing to the production process in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in hands-on production in the manufacturing of material for clinical trials in a GMP environment by conducting purification operations including filtration, chromatography, titrations, column packing, and ordering and accounting for consumption of raw materials and components
  • Contribute to the creation and revision of Batch Records, Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, Material Specifications, and other GMP documents
  • Adhere to all SOPs and execute batch records under GMP regulations documenting all manufacturing activities clearly and accurately, including preparation records, testing records, equipment use records, and laboratory notebooks
  • Maintain adequate supplies and perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Maintain manufacturing area in a clean, neat, and orderly condition at all times
  • Participate in a variety of projects designed to improve the quality and efficiency of the manufacturing team
  • Follow all related safety rules and procedures when working with hazardous materials

Requirements
  • Recent graduates in scientific related fields with no experience, wanting to enter manufacturing
  • If High School Diploma, experience with aseptic technique of GMP manufacturing required, including buffer prep, column packing, and downstream purification
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • 7-year background check, drug screening (MMC accepted), education verification, employment verification
  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate efficiently in a team environment
  • Ability to support biomanufacturing process supporting clinical programs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with exposure to science and math coursework and at least three years of related biotech/pharmaceutical experience OR Associate's degree in a related discipline with no experience
