Our client seeks a Project Manager with strong construction cost control experience to deliver biotech manufacturing facility projects. The role will lead scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, and change control while coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners. Projects may include renovations, expansions, tenant improvements, or new builds within regulated life sciences environments. This contract position has the opportunity to convert to direct.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $75.00 to $85.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Lead construction projects from kickoff through closeout, including renovations, expansions, tenant improvements, and new builds.
  • Own cost control including budget setup, commitments and actuals tracking, accruals, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Produce regular cost forecasts and variance and risk reporting and drive mitigation actions.
  • Manage change control by reviewing and validating pricing, negotiating change orders, and securing approvals.
  • Manage A/E, GC, and trade partners including scope, deliverables, and pay applications.
  • Build and maintain project schedules and coordinate long-lead procurement, outages and shutdowns, and site logistics.
Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience project managing construction projects as an owner’s representative, GC, or A/E.
  • Hands-on cost control experience including budgets, forecasting, variance analysis, and change orders.
  • Working knowledge of delivery methods and contracts including DBB, DB, and CMAR.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with Excel and PM and scheduling tools.
  • Preferred: Life sciences project experience across labs, cleanrooms, GMP manufacturing, and critical utilities.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with regulated environments including GxP concepts and commissioning, qualification, and validation.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
