Job description

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our team, focused on delivering actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across commercial strategy and marketing functions for our Cell and Gene Therapies Technologies (CGT) portfolio. This position reports to the Senior Director of Global CGT Sales and Marketing.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing internal and external data to uncover trends, optimize sales performance, and inform strategic initiatives in the rapidly evolving Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) market. This candidate will also support several tactical marketing activities. It is an important position within the organization which requires the individual to interact with cross-functional teams on a regular basis.
*This position is unable to offer visa sponsorship either now or in the future.
*Position requires working onsite 3 days per week in Lake Zurich, IL. Other days may be worked remotely.
Base salary range: $104,000-110,000.
Position is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 6% of the base salary.
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Analyze internal sales data and CRM inputs (e.g., Salesforce) to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities across customer segments.
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights to support commercial strategy development and business case evaluations.
  • Prepare and present reports and briefings for leadership, commercial, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reporting tools to monitor sales performance, pipeline progression, and sales cycle duration.
  • Segment customer profiles and behaviors to refine targeting strategies and support account-based marketing efforts.
  • Continuously monitor the CGT market landscape, including emerging therapeutic areas, company activity, regulatory developments, and investment trends; assess market in terms of size, development, and competition.
  • Track the indication focus and geographical expansion strategies of CGT developers to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain and regularly update a market intelligence database and competitive tracker to inform strategic planning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to test and optimize messaging, channels, and promotional tactics based on data findings.
  • Evaluate the ROI of marketing initiatives and help refine go-to-market tactics based on real-time performance data.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Data Science, Life Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the life sciences, biotech, or healthcare sector.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), Excel, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).Proficiency in SQL and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of commercial strategy, marketing analytics, and the CGT landscape is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • High degree of commitment as well as an independent, self-reliant, and solution-oriented way of working and an entrepreneurial way of thinking.
