Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Strategic Supply Chain Projects Manager to lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience, operational readiness, and cost efficiency within a 503B sterile manufacturing environment. This role will lead projects across supplier optimization, material availability, risk mitigation, ERP/MRP improvements, inventory strategy, production readiness, and operational scalability. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or other cGMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Leadership

• Lead medium- to large-scale supply chain projects from initiation through completion.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, risks, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting.
• Develop business cases, ROI models, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Translate operational challenges into project charters with measurable KPIs and success criteria.

Supplier & Material Strategy

• Partner with Procurement to evaluate suppliers, diversify sources, assess supply risks, and support qualification activities.
• Lead supplier improvement initiatives focused on lead-time reduction, MOQ optimization, contract alignment, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with Quality on supplier assessments, nonconformance reduction, and corrective actions.

Inventory, MRP & Material Availability

• Identify gaps in material flow, MRP logic, replenishment strategies, and BOM data.
• Recommend and implement stocking strategies, safety-stock adjustments, and planning policies.
• Lead root-cause analysis for material shortages and implement sustainable corrective solutions.
• Partner with IT/ERP teams to improve planning parameters, master data quality, and supply-chain visibility.

Production & Capacity Support

• Analyze production demand, capacity constraints, material readiness, and changeover impacts.
• Partner with Production Managers to ensure materials are available for upcoming manufacturing campaigns.
• Support technology transfers, new product introductions, and scale-up initiatives.

Compliance & 503B Alignment

• Ensure supply-chain projects align with cGMP, 503B outsourcing facility requirements, and internal Quality Management System standards.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews by providing supply-chain documentation, data, and process maps.
• Maintain project documentation according to quality and document-control requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Facilitate communication across Supply Chain, Procurement, QA/QC, Production, Engineering, Finance, IT, and leadership.
• Develop dashboards and executive summaries highlighting KPIs, project progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Provide structured updates during performance meetings and leadership reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 3–7+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or project management.
• Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or another cGMP-regulated environment.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects with measurable results.
• Strong analytical skills, including root-cause analysis, data interpretation, and scenario modeling.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel or data-analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder-management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 503B sterile compounding or commercial pharmaceutical production.
• PMP certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• APICS/ASCM CSCP or CPIM certification.
• Experience with quality investigations, deviations, CAPA, or supplier audits.
• Familiarity with FDA 503B requirements and cGMP documentation practices.
