Job description

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will lead and scale all commercial and revenue generating functions across the organization, including Enterprise Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Account Management, Customer Success, and Commercial Operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will define and execute the company's global commercial growth strategy across the life sciences industry, with a strong focus on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, animal health, and medical device organizations.

This executive will play a critical role in expanding the company's market presence across commercial, medical affairs, and clinical trial segments while strengthening the organization’s position as a trusted technology and solutions partner within the life sciences ecosystem. The CRO will be responsible for building a scalable and predictable commercial engine that aligns customer outcomes, product value, operational execution, and long-term enterprise growth.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in life sciences technology and services, with proven success leading enterprise B2B sales organizations serving pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. This individual should have a strong understanding of the operational, regulatory, and commercial dynamics across Commercial Operations, Medical engagement, Patient Services, and Clinical Development environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company’s overall commercial and revenue growth strategy across the United States and global markets.
  • Lead all enterprise marketing, sales, strategic account management, business development, partnership, and customer expansion initiatives.
  • Expand the company’s footprint within life sciences organizations across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, and Clinical Development functions.
  • Build and manage a high performing commercial organization focused on enterprise customer acquisition, retention, and long-term strategic growth.
  • Establish scalable go to market processes, sales methodologies, forecasting discipline, and operational performance metrics to improve pipeline quality, conversion efficiency, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Drive strategic relationships and partnerships within the life sciences ecosystem, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, technology partners, consulting organizations, and industry stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Product, Delivery teams to ensure alignment between market needs, product strategy, customer outcomes, and commercial execution.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles involving executive, business, compliance, legal, regulatory, medical, and IT stakeholders within highly regulated environments.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop top commercial leadership and sales talent while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and operational excellence.
Requirements Expected Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within the life sciences, pharmaceutical technology, healthcare technology, or SaaS sectors.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise B2B sales organizations with complex and consultative sales cycles across pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers.
  • Deep understanding of life sciences commercial operations, medical affairs engagement models, patient engagement, clinical trial operations, data platforms, CRM ecosystems, digital engagement, and regulated communications environments.
  • Proven experience building and scaling commercial infrastructure, strategic partnerships, and global go to market organizations.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with C level stakeholders across business, medical, compliance, legal, and technology functions.
  • Experience operating within highly regulated and compliance-oriented environments preferred.
  • Proficient in leveraging AI tools to enhance routine business tasks and daily workflows.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • MBA or other advanced business degree strongly preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications or healthcare technology experience considered a plus.
Location and Travel Expectation
  • Location - NY/NJ/CT Tri-State Area & Greater Philadelphia (HQ - Edison, NJ)
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
Compensation Range
  • Base Salary: $200,00+ annually
  • Target Annual Bonus: 45% of base salary based on company and individual performance.
  • Target Total Cash Compensation (OTE): Approximately $290,000+ annually.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefit offerings.
  • Compensation structure may vary based on candidate experience, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
