Description

With more than a decade of service, Nordic Cold Chain Solutions serves the specialty food and pharmaceutical industries with the highest quality cold-chain solutions and products. Built as a family business, Nordic Ice partners with each of its clients to create custom solutions that meet and exceed expectations for temperature-controlled packaging and manufacturing.

We are looking for a Sales Representative who will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of sales within Nordic Cold Chain Solutions' Kentucky Area Territory.

This is a highly autonomous role and can be remote or based in the Louisville, KY office.

Duties include marketing, sales, and training of the Nordic Ice's cold chain product line. The target markets for these products are pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech companies, clinical trial management companies, blood banks, hospitals, laboratory supply houses, and key distribution networks.

Responsibilities:

A sales representative is the direct liaison between Nordic Cold Chain Solutions and the marketplace which includes sales, prospecting and lead generation within the target markets. The responsibilities also include the education of the client base as to the use, design parameters, delivery, manufacturing timelines and pricing for our line of products. You will be responsible for fielding inquiries, generating leads and applications, onboarding new clients, and coordinating with inside sales and customer experience personnel to deliver on Nordic's commitment of service and quality.

Daily and long-term responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Managing sales within the assigned U.S. territory, developing a business plan covering the sales, revenue and expense controls meeting agreed targets and promoting the organization's presence throughout the assigned territory and beyond.

Call on existing and potential new customers to further the growth of the company.

Advise in the proper use, function and design parameters of our products and services.

Relay information regarding new or existing orders to correct key personnel to ensure accuracy of orders, and efficiency of flow through our system.

Set and maintain a schedule for covering the specified territory. Compile and maintain a list of potential new accounts and coordinate schedule to maximize sales effort.

Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan as it relates to realistic forecasting for each product category in a specific territory, based on market trends, historical data, competitive activity, and marketing strategy.

Qualify leads generated and prioritize importance.

Participate in sales related functions with customers and company members including sales meetings, conference calls, and trade shows.

Relay information from customers to inside sales and design teams in a clear, concise and organized manner for new and existing product development.

Maintain an organized customer database.

Required travel by air and car depending on location of meeting.

Continue education regarding the Nordic Ice line of products as well as performance characteristics of competitive products and services.

Requirements


4-year degree required

3-5 years' experience in Packaging or Cold Chain sales preferred

Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving, and logical approach solutions

Results-Oriented and ability to work in a team environment

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word and Power Point

Must possess a valid driver's license
