Position Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - MMM

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - MMM

Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico. This role requires associates to be in‑office at least 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work‑life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered. Summary

Responsible for ensuring sound financial and accounting systems, practices, and processes in support MMM's Government Business in Puerto Rico, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provides financial leadership, decision support, and strategic consultation to senior management team.
  • Oversees the general accounting, cost/budget accounting, and accounts payable.
  • Ensures financial compliance with Puerto Rico regulatory requirements, including ASES (Plan Vital), CMS, and local statutory obligations.
  • Leads development of annual operating plans, multi‑year forecasts, and long‑range strategies reflecting Puerto Rico market conditions and funding structures.
  • Oversees financial strategy for provider networks, including IPAs, MSOs, and delegated entities across Puerto Rico.
  • Partners with market, clinical, and corporate leadership to drive sustainable growth, regulatory compliance, and value‑based outcomes in a highly regulated environment.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Position Requirements

Requires a BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of 10 years' experience in financial operations, analysis, reporting, administrative cost allocations and analysis, budgets, and forecasting and minimum of 7 years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences
  • MBA preferred.
  • CPA required.
  • CFA, CMA, or CCM preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: Medicaid, Medicare, MSO (Management Services Organization) business.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred.
