Emplify Health by Gundersen Health System provides a professional hands-on experience tailored to meet the interests of the interns in conjunction with the current activities of the department. Medical Research is looking for a biostatistician intern who is a master's degree candidate or strong fourth- or fifth-year undergrad who has experience using R in all of the following ways; in order to import, modify, combine, and transform datasets. Summarize and interpret information from a variety of datasets. Can appropriately determine how to analyze data using standard statistical techniques to include frequency distributions, displaying continuous variables, i.e., histograms, QQ-Plots, and scatterplots. Categorical Data Analysis such as Chi Square, Fisher, and McNemar's Test. T-Test and Non-Parametric Comparisons, Correlation and Partial Correlation, Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Stepwise and Other Variable Selection Methods.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Performs job-related responsibilities as requested.

2. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.

Education and Learning:

REQUIRED

Post High School education in a specialized field: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program and in the 4th or 5th year of a Statistics degree or related field with appropriate R experience

DESIRED

Bachelor's degree in Statistics or a related field

Currently enrolled in a master's degree program focused on Statistics or a related field with experience in R.

Work Experience:

REQUIRED

No experience required.

DESIRED

1 year of experience in a related field
