Description:
Inpatient Rehabilitation Speech Therapist position available.
The unit has 44 beds and consists of 2 speech therapists.
Day Shift staffing includes 2 speech therapists.
Patient ratios are 1:8 to 10.
Common equipment utilized includes MBS Suite, Vital Stim, IOPI, EMST150, and Bioness BITs.
Electronic medical records are used.
Must evaluate and treat multiple diagnoses related to swallowing and speech language.
MBS studies are performed regularly.
The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, team-oriented, and flexible.
There may be opportunities to float to acute hospital areas.
Dress code includes black scrub bottoms and a preferred royal blue scrub top, although other colors are accepted.
Weekend shifts may be required on a rotating basis, usually one shift per month.
