  • Be the go-to partner for installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment across Legacy sites
  • Serve as a liaison between operations and administration to keep clinics running smoothly
  • Work closely with Facilities, Purchasing, clinical staff, and vendors
  • Contribute to safety, quality, and reliability in every patient encounter
What You'll Do
  • Assist clinics in troubleshooting non-operational equipment and submit service requests to vendors as needed.
  • Participate in projects such as inspections and installation of new medical equipment.
  • Perform and/or oversee calibration testing and annual inspections on clinical equipment.
  • Attend meetings and provide relevant information as necessary.
  • Travel to clinic sites to handle service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Coordinate equipment tagging and manage inter-clinic equipment moves; update equipment location documentation.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and maintain documentation of performance, cleaning, routine preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Demonstrate high service standards by responding in a timely manner and anticipating customer requirements and needs.
  • Utilize tools and test equipment appropriately and maintain an inventory of assigned tools and test equipment.
  • Assist Purchasing in maintaining biomedical equipment supply inventories and verify receipt of supplies.
  • Comply with applicable equipment codes and guidelines; assist in training health care and medical personnel.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in the face of changing demands; display initiative to improve job function.
  • Minimize organizational cost through product standardization and tracking across clinics.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers with a customer service focus and positive language.
  • Serve as liaison between Facilities and Purchasing to ensure appropriate delivery dates and setup; validate delivery and sign off on invoices.
  • Track records, licenses, inspections, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools; ensure equipment quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Biomedical Technology (BMET), Electronics Engineering, or related field OR successful completion of Military BMET training.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Biomedical Technician role.
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of health care operations; demonstrated leadership skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated project management skills.
  • Skilled in the use of standard test equipment and tools used for the maintenance of clinical equipment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Flexibility to meet travel requirements which vary depending on primary site locations; must be able to travel to clinic sites.
  • Frequently required to sit; occasionally stand and walk; frequently communicate expressively and receptively; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally bend, twist, climb, and reach.
  • Moderate concentration/intensity with prolonged mental effort; normal memory; moderate decision-making complexity; able to handle normal levels of intensity.
  • Possible exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and viruses; noise level usually moderate to loud; may work in open areas with various distractions.
  • Respectful and courteous; upholds confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; values cultural differences; responsive; clear and effective communication; teamwork and adaptability.
  • Reports to Vice President of Facilities.
