Job description

The School ofMedicine Research Education Office (SOMREO) is focused on providingcomprehensive training in both clinical sciences and basic biomedical science disciplines.SOMREO is comprised of programs that provide students with an integrated andcohesive training experience in Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program (BSGP),Initiative for maximizing Student Development (IMSD T32 Grant), MD/PhD DualDegree Program, Post-Doc Affairs (PDA), and Undergraduate Programs (UP) allowingstudents to participate in activities common to their programs while obtainingtheir degrees.

SOMREO isseeking a dynamic, highly motivated, goal-driven professional to join our teamas a Program Specialist. The Program Specialist will provide lead support toassigned programs and work directly with program directors, to ensure thesuccess of SOMREO students. In addition, they will work closely with SOMREOstaff and leadership to support, in various ways, all SOMREO programs andfunding opportunities. In order to excel in this position, the selectedcandidate will be self-motivated and poses strong attention to detail andorganizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal. They should demonstrate previousproject management experience, following up on tasks, and communicating withall levels of faculty/staff and leadership.
