Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Research Scientist - MRI, major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    Lead the design and implementation of novel MRI pulse sequences and image reconstruction algorithms (including neural networks) to address challenges in medical imaging.
  • Drive the integration of AI and Machine Learning into reconstruction pipelines to reduce scan times and enhance diagnostic clarity.
  • Under guidance, assume technical ownership of advanced MRI application development projects, from conceptualization to product launch.
  • Support scientific collaborators at luminary institutions to conduct cutting-edge      MRI research.
  • Contribute to company's IP portfolio, including development of invention disclosures and patent applications.
  • Contribute to team-oriented projects in a collaborative and innovative research environment.
  • Maintain knowledge (e.g., publications, conferences) of state-of-the-art and trends in imaging technologies and reporting to global team.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • A strong technical background in the field of MRI with a proven track record of scientific publications, or MRI product development experience from concept stage through commercialization stage
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: pulse sequence development; image reconstruction; artificial intelligence for MRI
  • Knowledge and experience in neuroimaging research is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience using fast prototyping software (e.g., MATLAB, Python)
  • Demonstrated experience with C/C++ development and/or GPU programming with CUDA is      preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a highly technical group
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for multiple levels of an organization
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
  • Demonstrated Passion for Change


Working Conditions: 

Magnetic Environment Exposure: 

This position requires working in an environment where strong magnetic fields may be present. Employees may be exposed to powerful magnets, electromagnetic equipment, or other devices that generate magnetic fields.

Due to the nature of the magnetic environment, employees must not wear or carry ferrous metals on their person while in the designated work area. This includes, but is not limited to, metal objects such as steel, iron, and other ferrous materials. Additionally, employees with implants, medical devices, or foreign objects containing ferrous metals within their body (e.g., certain surgical implants, pacemakers, or metal pins) may be at risk and must disclose any such conditions to their supervisor prior to starting work.
