  • Translate market dynamics, customer insights, scientific trends, and commercial data into clear portfolio priorities.
  • Develop portfolio-level investment recommendations, including business cases, market sizing, financial models, and strategic tradeoffs.
  • Establish a disciplined portfolio review process that integrates revenue performance, margin, installed base opportunity, lifecycle stage, competitive position, and innovation pipeline.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of product managers and portfolio leaders.
  • Establish a high-performance product management operating model with clear accountability for strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, launch readiness, pricing, and commercial performance.
  • Build common product management standards, tools, dashboards, and decision frameworks across the portfolio.
  • Strengthen Voice of Customer, market intelligence, competitive intelligence, and customer workflow mapping capabilities.
  • Lead the evolution from product-line management to integrated workflow and platform strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to connect instruments, consumables, applications, software, service, and data into differentiated workflow solutions.
  • Own the portfolio innovation roadmap and ensure alignment between customer needs, product strategy, R&D priorities, and business value.
  • Partner with R&D and Program Management to prioritize new product development investments and sustaining engineering efforts.
  • Define product requirements, target product profiles, business cases, and launch success criteria for major development initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Applications, Service, and Regional Leaders to translate portfolio strategy into commercial execution.
  • Support strategic customer engagements, executive account discussions, key opinion leader meetings, and major commercial opportunities.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against revenue, margin, market share, adoption, launch, and lifecycle metrics.
  • Own lifecycle management across the Biopharma portfolio, from concept through launch, scale, sustain, refresh, rationalization, and retirement.
  • Drive pricing strategy in partnership with Commercial, Finance, Marketing, and Regional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product mix, margin, consumables attachment, service attachment, installed-base utilization, and portfolio profitability.
  • Support inorganic growth strategy by identifying portfolio gaps, workflow adjacencies, acquisition targets, and partnership opportunities.
  • Participate in due diligence for potential acquisitions, partnerships, OEM opportunities, and technology licensing.
  • Ensure newly acquired technologies are incorporated into the broader portfolio roadmap, value proposition, commercial strategy, and lifecycle governance.

Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience leading product managers, portfolio leaders, or cross-functional product teams.
  • Proven ownership of a complex global product portfolio with accountability for strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, pricing, launch, and commercial outcomes.

  • Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization with regional commercial teams and distributed stakeholders.
  • Strong customer orientation with experience engaging strategic accounts, key opinion leaders, and technical decision makers.
  • Experience in bioprocessing, biologics manufacturing, cell line development, process analytics, upstream bioprocessing, formulation, quality control, or cell and gene therapy workflows preferred.
  • Experience with instrument, consumable, and software portfolios preferred.
  • Experience building workflow or platform strategies across multiple product lines preferred.
  • Experience with global product launches and stage-gate product development preferred.
