Job Description
The MTS Process Integration Engineer is responsible for driving new product introduction activities including designing, developing, and optimizing processes and products. They work closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and solve technical challenges.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the R&D to translate laser design requirements into manufacturable processes.
  • Develop, design, and optimize manufacturing processes and systems for the production of various products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement process flow and maintain process control techniques and practices to ensure high yield and uniformity across production batches.
  • Collaborate with Rel/FA engineers to conduct rigorous analysis and characterization of fabricated devices to ensure they meet the specified performance criteria, utilizing tools like SEM, AFM, and optical microscopy.
  • Utilize data analysis and statistical tools for data mining process and devices parameters and implement data-driven solutions for improvement.
  • Document all process developments, modifications, and optimizations for future reference and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and company quality standards and participate in quality control initiatives.
  • Follow safety guidelines and environmental regulations and contribute to sustainability and safety initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage production costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and work on cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related physical science discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in an optoelectronic company, with a focus on one or more laser categories: high-power multimode lasers, or low-power single-mode lasers, DFBs, photonic integrated circuits (PICs), SOAs.
  • Experiences on diverse grating process methodologies on Gallium Nitride are a big plus, from photolithography, ebeam-lithography, holographic, nanoimprint.
  • Experience with mask design tool (L-Edit, Cadence or Klayout)
  • Experience with several of the following processes and tools for Gallium Nitride processes: ICP, RIE, PECVD, E-beam deposition, lithography , Sputter, ellipsometer, SEM, AFM, profilometers.
  • Strong dataset process analysis using software such as JMP or Python
  • Experience in a quality certified environment, i.e. ISO9001, 5S, 8D, lean six sigma
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

The full-time base salary range for the MTS Process Integration Engineer position is $157,000 to $185,000 per annum. The range reflects the minimum and maximum possible base salary for new hires for the role, based on the advertised location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
